About Coach Cooper
As an Athlete:
Todd Cooper was a High School State Champion and a High School All-American. While competing at Baylor University he was a 4 time Conference Champion and Conference Record Holder and 3 time Collegiate All-American. He was twice voted the Outstanding Baylor University Track and Field athlete of the year. After his collegiate career he continued to vault at a world class level competing internationally achieving a personal best jump of 18’-9” and competed in two Olympic Trials.
As a Coach:
In the past 20 years Coach Cooper has coached at all levels from High School to NCAA Division I. While an assistant coach at Baylor University in charge of Pole Vaulters he coached 7 athletes over 17 feet, 3 athletes over 18 feet and 1 vaulter over a then NCAA record of 19’-2 ¾”
At the High School level as a coach at Excelsior Springs High School, he coached 7 State Champions 6 State Champion runner up’s and over 30 other all state jumpers. Including the highest female vaulter ever in the state of Missouri.
As the director of Just Vault Camps and Clubs, Coach Cooper has worked with over 200 All-State Vaulters including over 25 individual state champions. Numerous other who have gone on to win Conference, District and Sectional Championships. And 2 who have won Collegiate National Championships!
